Stressed, confused and questioning what is going on?
Can I be here? Do I like to be here? Am I allowed to be myself? What is my life for? What is life asking me at this time?
Questions like these are very common through out life. They are openings, invitations, and horizons of possible discovery.
My interest as a therapist lies in supporting clients to live in accordance with their most authentic values, to live their most fulfilling life in the world with all of their relations. At times, this can come with a sense of loss as we confront old ways of being that start to be recognized as no longer serving where our lives are encouraging us to go. Excitement and inspiration can also be what guides perseverance in the process.
I am interested in working with clients to support insight into the intelligent development of their personality, with all of its resources and areas for growth, while fostering development of new narratives, new ways of being and perceiving that honour the past while acknowledging the need to let go of outmoded stories in order for new creative character traits to emerge.
I have a special interest in working with folks through life transitions, spiritual experiences, near death experiences, psychedelic/Entheogenic practices, and the possibilities they afford human development, creativity, and wholeness. Integrating exceptional human experiences can be one of the most challenging yet rewarding aspects of being human. Sharing in the discovery with clients their new ways of being, new ways of seeing themselves and the world, and creating new narratives to live from is something that feels most enlivening to me in my counselling practice.
