Could One Childhood Myth Still Be Running Your Life?
You may be intelligent, capable and accomplished and still feel that you’re somehow not good enough, don’t matter, don’t belong or can’t trust yourself.
These beliefs rarely begin as deliberate thoughts. They are often conclusions formed in childhood, when we were too young to understand what was happening around us. Over time, those conclusions can become invisible rules for living, thereby, shaping our relationships, confidence, choices and sense of what we believe is possible.
In this interactive 4-week online workshop, psychotherapist and author Suzanne St. John Smith will help you uncover the childhood myth that may still be quietly influencing your adult life.
Together, you will explore:
- How childhood myths are formed, and why they can survive decades of evidence against them
- How to identify your own dominant myth
- The ways it may be affecting your relationships, decisions and potential
- How to separate what happened to you from what you concluded about yourself
- How to begin living from who you truly are, rather than who you learned to believe you were
This is not about blaming your childhood, endlessly revisiting the past or replacing painful beliefs with positive affirmations you don’t believe. It is about recognizing an old conclusion that was never qualified to define you, and choosing whether it should continue directing your life.
Because the problem may never have been who you are.
It may be the story you learned to believe.
