I enjoy connecting with people and helping them achieve a happier state of mind, empower themselves to move forward with their lives, and to create kind and compassionate beliefs about themselves in order to appreciate their own unique sense of value and worth.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, and certification in EMDR 2.0. I will work with you to help you find a way through the barriers that are keeping you stuck. I offer a warm, caring and compassionate approach to counselling, as well as a safe, nurturing environment.
I believe that people can absolutely grow and make positive changes in their lives to reach their full potential and I help you see your strengths and beauty within. A few words spoken by my clients, “You have changed my life forever. I am so thankful I have found you...” “Because of you, I now give myself permission to be happy...” “I was so stuck, and I now I see a way forward…”
If you are facing challenges in:
- Trauma Recovery
- Low Self-Esteem
- Anger Management
- Toxic Shame
- Wounded Emotional Boundaries
- Achieving Goals
- Life Transitions
- Grief and Loss
or other areas which you believe counselling could be helpful in resolving, Madeleine welcomes the opportunity to work with you, to bring about the change you want to see in your life.
I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), to help you move past trauma and pain. I work with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to help you discover your internalized negative beliefs and help you create more adaptive positive beliefs. I help you resolve any issues you may be facing, and I make sure you get the coping tools you need to move forward with your life. I work with a variety of other techniques and modalities, and customize my approach to each client's needs. I use practical hand’s on tools that are emailed to you after our session for your reference that provide you with the ability to review and practice new skills and ways of thinking. I have trained with the best of the industry leaders in my field because I believe it is my job to provide you with the most up to date, effective techniques available, so you get the help and results you deserve.
I truly love my work as a Registered Clinical Counsellor and I believe we work as team to enable you to get the help, healing, growth and change you want to see for yourself. Take a look at my website, and message me for a free consultation.
