Practice Information

As a highly sensitive person, I appreciate how meaning, the impact of our experiences and feeling like someone gets us profoundly affect our lives. Clients have told me that they like how I show up as myself as a therapist which brings a level of 'realness' to sessions that can feel more connective than having a blank slate across from you.

I specialize in anxiety, neurodivergence, complex family relationships, and trauma. I work with my clients to find and work with the root cause of their concerns.  Integrating an eclectic mix of therapeutic approaches that help you feel more sturdy and integrated within yourself including Internal Family Systems Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Attachment Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Inner Child work.

As an attachment based counsellor, I believe the relationship between the therapist and client brings about the biggest change. If you feel we would be a fit, I’d love to hear from you.

- Fearing that you are "too much" for others

- Challenging family relationships

- You've been falling into the same patterns and aren't sure what to do next

- Feeling lonely despite being around other people

The Quick Fix for Mental Health

When I started reading about psychology, I was ravenous to “figure everything out”. I could not get enough of learning about our patterns, how to deal with emotions, and to find out how normal I was. I read voraciously for years, believing that if only I had a sense of mastery over my struggles and how to communicate with others effectively, that I would resolve my sense of internal shame. I will let you in on something. A small percentage of the things I have learned and read about have helped – self compassion, understanding myself better, normalizing my experiences, and gaining perspective…
