Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy, Inferential Behaviour Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Conjoint Therapy (CBCT) for PTSD, an evidence-based approach for treating PTSD that includes a family member in treatment. Has been around since the 80s, is well-evidenced, and produces consistently good results, with clients going subclinical on standard measures usually in <6 sessions. Widely deployed in residential treatment facilities due to its flexibility (can be 1:1, group, or a hybrid).

Inferential Behaviour Therapy is a newer treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - OCD, which moves away from exposure and response prevention to view OCD as a problem of inference, rather than anxiety management, which effectively explains a broader range of OCD subtypes. It's easier to deploy and gets better results faster, in controlled trials.
