Practice Information
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). I bring over 9 years of experience providing clinical therapy and working in educational settings as both a University Professor and School Counsellor. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology, and my thesis, “The Concept of Focus in Psychoanalytic Therapies,” explored how specific symptoms shape personality dynamics.
I specialize in Emotional Intelligence, Mental Health Education, Trauma, Vocational Orientation, Cross-cultural Counselling, Play Therapy, Anxiety, and Depression.
What sets my work apart is my psychodynamic approach to therapy, which views individuals as dynamic and ever-evolving rather than fixed or static. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I work alongside my clients to explore the roots of their challenges and support meaningful, lasting change. Whether you’re navigating relationships, adapting to a new culture, coping with stress, or working through personal struggles, I offer a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space for self-exploration.
My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, guided by curiosity, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. It takes courage to face difficulties, and choosing to begin therapy can be an important step toward building a more fulfilling and balanced life. I provide counselling in English and Spanish.
