Uri Sanhedrai is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) & Therapist in Private Practice in downtown Vancouver, providing counselling, therapy, coaching and consultation to individuals, groups and businesses.
Uri attends to distress, crisis and maladjustment associated with physical, emotional and mental disorders, helping individuals optimize both their sense of self and their interpersonal functioning in various life's domains - intimacy, family, parenting, socialization, work, school, & spirituality.
In his primary areas of practice Uri helps with: Transforming self-defeating identity & personality traits; bringing closure to unresolved early-life events and trauma; coping with distressing life turning points and transitions; men’s issues; complicated relationships; sexuality; separation; late teen & emerging adult issues; low self-esteem; aging and related family & caregiving issues; abuse; loneliness; adoption; attachment; parenting; overburdening moods and anxiety disorders; fear & phobia; loss & grief, and other quality of life concerns.
Uri's practice is comprised of adults - women and men, young people in transition to adulthood, aging adults and older seniors, mid-life children of aging parents (caregivers), adopted persons, adopting parents, and birth-givers (biological parents).
In his work with business and organizational leaders, Uri helps identify and optimize personality traits and other factors affecting their organization's character and identity and in tern the success of their organization, products or service brands.
Uri holds an M.A. degree in Counselling Psychology with a specialty in Art Therapy from the Adler School of Professional Psychology (Chicago/Vancouver) and post-graduate certification in working with an aging population from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver). His B.A. degree is in Communication Arts from the Gerrit Reitveld Academie (Amsterdam). He also has extensive experience in developing programs, presentations and workshops, teaching, coaching and consulting to organizations and individuals with Identity Programs in Canada, the U.S, Europe and Israel. Uri is fluent in English and Hebrew.
Uri collaborates with relevant supporting health and well-being professionals to ensure the best possible care for his clients.
Home visits can be arranged for individuals with limited mobility or special needs.
