I provide counselling services to individuals who want to make a positive change in their lives with respect to relationships, self-esteem and career. If you are suffering from depression, anxiety, or trauma, a counselling relationship may help speed the recovery process and help you in your journey. I believe that the counselling process & experience should be one that is non-judgemental & non-shaming. It means having an authentic relationship with someone who encourages & empowers you so that change can occur. I believe in asking questions that will generate movement & help you see things in a different light. Therapy is helpful through:
* Having an authentic relationship with another individual
* Education and empowerment
* Generation of movement
* Interpretation of life’s experiences, and corrective emotional experiences
* Drawing out your creative side
* Changing the story line of one’s life
I believe that change is possible. It does not have to be grandiose; like a drop in a pond, small changes in thinking and behaviour will have amazing ripple effects in your life.
I practice counselling from a place of compassion and kindness. It is not my job to judge, but rather to work with you as a team in facing the difficulties facing you in your life today.

She provides counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families and groups. She is a trained facilitator of the Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) and Respectful, Responsible Parenting programs, and has run many parenting groups in the Lower Mainland. She has also facilitated psycho-educational groups on depression, anxiety, & grief and loss.
The modalities used in therapy sessions include Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Narrative, Adlerian, EMDR, Hypnosis, EFT, metaphor, and solution-focused therapy. In her opinion, counselling provides a space and opportunity to explore behaviour, relationships, feelings, or thoughts, which trouble you and cause difficulty in your life. Counselling is a legitimate source of support in a crisis, or during a difficult time. It can bring deeper personal insight and awareness, better ways of understanding and coping with problems, and improved relationships.
