Practice Information

If you are living with bipolar disorder, psychosis, depression or anxiety, finding a therapist with meaningful clinical experience in these areas can make a difference. I am a Registered Social Worker with 20 years of mental health experience, including the past 15 years working specifically with people experiencing psychosis and bipolar disorder.

My career has included work in specialized mental health programs, community and psychiatric hospitals, and mental health clinics in Canada and the UK. This experience has given me the opportunity to support people at many different points in their mental health journey - from navigating a new diagnosis or recovering from an acute episode or hospitalization, to managing ongoing symptoms, relationships, work, school and everyday life.

In counselling, I can help you better understand your mental health, recognize patterns and early warning signs, develop strategies for managing symptoms, cope with depression and anxiety, and work toward greater stability and confidence. I also work with parents, partners and other family members who are supporting someone experiencing bipolar disorder, psychosis, depression, anxiety or another significant mental health concern. I can help families better understand what their loved one is experiencing, improve communication, navigate challenging situations, and find ways to provide support while also looking after their own well-being.

My approach is warm, collaborative, person-centred and trauma-informed. I draw from CBT, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy, adapting our work to your needs, goals and circumstances. My aim is for therapy to be both supportive and practical - a place where you feel understood while also developing useful strategies for moving forward.

I provide virtual counselling throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario and am registered to practice social work in all three provinces. I am also a registered mental health provider with the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) in BC.

If you are looking for support with bipolar disorder, psychosis, depression, anxiety or a related mental health concern, you are welcome to reach out to see whether working together might be a good fit.
