When painful thoughts and emotions show up, it can be like trying to find our way through a fog. It’s hard to live the way we want to when anxiety makes our mind spin in circles, when trauma hangs on us like a dead weight, and when our inner voice is constantly questioning and criticizing. As painful as they are, these feelings are here to show us that something needs to change. By listening to them and working through them together, we can clear the path to a life that is manageable and fulfilling.
I offer psychotherapy in-person, in Victoria BC, and remotely through a secure tele-health platform. I help adults who want to live a rich and meaningful life, but feel weighed down by painful thoughts and emotions—including anxiety, shame, and trauma. I also help couples who are working through a challenging time in their relationship, and feel stuck trying to figure it out on their own.
My clients often tell me they like working with me because I’m friendly, young, warm, and genuine, and that I’m also honest, straight-forward, and give practical feedback. My approach is suited to folks who want a supportive, empathetic therapist who will also be real with them, provide tools, and collaborate on a vision for their present and future. What you’re going through is already heavy, but that doesn’t mean therapy has to be. Of course there will be moments of challenge, but a mix of depth, tools, and hopefully a few laughs along the way is a recipe for healing.
