Practice information:
I am a registered psychologist, practising psychology with a holistic perspective on healing which means that I place importance on working with the whole person rather than on one or more symptoms.
My goal is to help my clients restore harmony in heart, mind, soul and body and the whole of who they are.
The exquisite relief that comes with healing can and very often does occur as part of being in therapy.
The quality of the personal connection between client and therapist significantly contributes to the healing process and for this reason it is important that you chose a therapist with whom you resonate.
My Vancouver practice is easily accessible on Victoria Drive, near 35 Avenue. It is a general psychology practice in which I see predominantly adolescent and adult clients with symptoms including, but no limited to, anxiety and depression, loss, addiction, grief, parenting, unresolved trauma, learning and developmental problems, identity and sexuality concerns, health-related, spiritual and cultural issues, as well as self-growth related themes. In all my work, I place attention on how my clients feel in their bodies, both, in order to listen to their bodies' messages and wisdom, as well as to allow the opening of constricted areas and to allow for more embodiment.
As varied as the concerns may be that lead us to therapy and counselling, what all my clients have in common is an experience of low self-worth and the accompanying difficulty of accepting and/or loving themselves. More often than not, clearing the blocks to self-acceptance and self-love becomes the theme of our work together and sets in motion the essential turn-around for healing to flow. Only then do the presenting symptoms become transformed into health and well-being.
