Practice information:
Nikita has been in full-time private practice for two decades. Originally trained in contemporary schools of psychoanalysis, and as a dedicated lifelong learner, she now blends her knowledge and experience with an eclectic array of approaches designed to creatively fit each individual, couple or family.
She is truly a collaborative professional working with colleagues in psychiatry, psychology, social work, education, alternative health professions and medicine to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to the well-being of those who come to work with her. Nikita works to assist individuals, couples and families to reach their maximum potential by unlocking unconscious binds and patterns that no longer serve them. Her style is client-led and interactive, with a focus on the therapeutic relationship which is open-ended and tends to be long-term in nature.
Nikita is a graduate of the University of Toronto, The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and the Toronto Child Psychotherapy Program. She is a founder of the Western Canada Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association and of the early Vancouver Collaborative Divorce Group and the North Shore Alternative Dispute Resolution Group. She treats adults, couples, children, youth and families and is an accredited supervisor for other professionals in her field.
Nikita is highly regarded as a valuable community resource and media representative and is available to speak on a variety of issues including: intimacy enhancement, parenting, attachment, women's issues, healthy sexuality, and turning life transitions into transformational opportunities. Her combined psychotherapy and mediation background allows her to effectively facilitate emotionally difficult and complex conversations.
She holds memberships with the following professional groups:
- BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC, RCC-ACS)
- Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCC, CCC-S),
- Canadian Association of Psychoanalytic Child Therapists (CAPCT)
- College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (RP)
