Mary Longworth is in private practice (Delta Counselling) in the South Delta, Tsawwassen, Ladner and New Westminster regions since receiving her M.Sc. in marital, family and child counselling in 1995.
Mary is a registered clinical counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
Her practice in Delta, Tsawwassen, Ladner and New Westminster primarily consists of working with couples, families and individuals helping them to achieve the goals that they bring to counselling.
The approaches that she uses in her work include cognitive-behavioural therapy, solution-focused, systemic and eclectic with a Rogerian underpinning.
The areas that she enjoys working in are couples or relationship therapy, divorce and separation, stress management, and pre and post-divorce play therapy. Mary also likes to work with depression, anxiety disorders, assertiveness, anger, and grief and loss including pet-loss and in working with clients with hoarding issues. For her hoarding work she has a team of professionals that do the in- home cleanup, restoration and organization after a hoarder's home has been cleaned. Mary works with the hoarders either in-home or in her office with the thought process and the emotions to help them let go of their many possessions.
She is available for appointments in Delta, Tsawwassen, Ladner and New Westminster on most weekday mornings, afternoons and evenings and some Saturday mornings.
