Practice Information

Logically, you know that the traumatic event was in the past, or that the compulsive thought is not true, but your body is overriding what your brain knows. If the experience of trauma or grief is still with you, despite talk therapy, a somatic approach could help. I often work with clients who are neurodivergent, creative, queer or spiritual. I am a relational therapist and believe that healing happens in relationship, including the relationship of therapist and client. I'm not a blank-slate therapist. I show up as my authentic self, and I strive to create a space that feels safe enough for you to do the same.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) known for my ability to invite curiosity and compassion through the challenges of human experience. I draw on specialized training in grief and loss, Somatic Experiencing, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and trauma-informed care to support clients in expanding their capacity for connection to self and other. My practice is grounded in polyvagal theory, change theory, feminist and anti-oppressive values, neuroscience, and relational care. With a professional background that includes crisis response, suicide intervention training, workplace mental health, change management, and end-of-life support work, I bring a steady, attuned presence to the therapeutic relationship. I offer both individual counselling and group facilitation, virtually and in person, and am known for creating welcoming, culturally responsive spaces where clients feel met with care and respect. I support adults navigating trauma, grief, OCD, life transitions, and existential questions about life. My intention as a therapist is to meet clients with deep relational care and evidence-based strategies, helping clients build nervous system regulation and a deeper connection to themselves. I believe that healing happens within relationships, and therapy can be a healing relational container for sustained change.
