You’re probably here because something is coming up that is highlighting the need for change. That might be a big event that forces change, like a loss, a significant conflict, or a life transition. It could also be that everyday things are setting off big emotions, like the toothpaste cap that turns into a huge fight with your partner, and something needs to change because it’s too stressful to live this way. Or maybe you’ve had a constant sense of depression or anxiety for a while, and you know that you don’t want to feel this way long-term.
We never want to find ourselves in these situations, yet they are part of life and can be significant opportunities for growth. Our challenges in the present often show us the ways we learned how to adapt and stay safe in the world in the past. As we bring some kind attention and curiosity to those behaviours, beliefs and relational patterns, we can bring in some fresh air, spaciousness and choice as well. We can change the way we feel, respond and act by being curious about ourselves and others, as well as learning new skills to bring into our daily lives.
I work with adults and couples to help you heal from your past and live more fully today. I often work with people who have ADHD in their lives somewhere, including neurodivergent and mixed-neurotype couples, parents of neurodivergent kids, and adults who grew up with neurodivergent parents or siblings. Living with high sensitivity, being misunderstood, and challenges with focus and attention in yourself or those around you often comes with overwhelm, anxiety, depression and difficulty navigating emotions. Therapy can help us get clear on what’s happening when things feel tough, and can help bring in some changes so that things feel better in the future.
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, collaborative, client centered and experiential. This means that I focus on working together with you and centering your lived experiences. I also support you to have new insights and experiences that are healing and empowering so that you can move forwards in life with a more joyful and self-accepting approach.
I offer a 20 min free consultation so that we can have a chance to meet, ask questions and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit for working together. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, and I look forward to meeting you.
I am available in-person through Bowen Island Integrated Health on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
I am available by video on Tuesdays, Wednesday evenings, Thursdays and Fridays.

With pandemic restrictions behind us, many people are eager to get back to doing things in person again, including therapy. Taking the time out of your day to travel to your therapist's office, sitting on their couch, and being present with each other in person can be important parts of therapy for many folks. However, doing therapy by video is often just as effective, and can even have some advantages compared to in-person therapy. Here are some signs that video therapy might be a good fit for you.
