About Lauren
“A burden shared is a burden halved” is the foundational value that guides my approach to counselling. I believe there is something powerful about having a space where you don’t have to carry everything on your own. My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and care as we make sense of what you’re experiencing together.
With a background in social work, I understand that our wellbeing is shaped by more than what happens within us. I consider the social, cultural, relational, and systemic contexts of our day-to-day lives alongside psychological factors taking a holistic approach to understanding who we are and what we need to feel well and live in alignment with ourselves.
As a neurodivergent and queer-affirming counsellor, I honour the ways our lived and learned experiences shape how we understand ourselves, relate to others, and move through the world. Wherever you are coming from, you don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. I currently work out of two practices, and accepting clients in both.
