Hello! I provide holistic, trauma-informed clinical counselling for adults and youth healing from mental health challenges, trauma and/or substance use issues. My counselling approach uses somatic (body based) techniques combined with mindfulness approaches to working with thoughts and emotions. As a counsellor, I aim to create a warm, therapeutic environment to work collaboratively on what is personally meaningful to you. I take a holistic approach to counselling by including attention to mental, emotional, physical and spiritual domains. I have post masters training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and am currently a student in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level 2 for Developmental Trauma. 

I have worked in the field of mental health and addictions with youth, adults and families for the past nine years, with experience ranging over treatment, supportive housing, outreach, detox and counselling sites. In addition to private practice, I am currently the clinical counsellor on an Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) team. These professional experiences have given me knowledge in mental health and systemic difficulties, as well as skills in flexibly meeting the needs of each individual person I work with. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor working in the Tri-cities, BC. I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, a BA in Psychology and World Religions, a graduate diploma in Interprofessional Mental Health & Addictions and a post-degree diploma in Guidance Studies.
