Practice Information

Sex therapy. ADHD support. Relationship uncertainty. If you’re struggling with symptoms of perimenopause, pain during sex, desire differences, ADHD, overwhelm, or deciding whether to stay or separate, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

You may be feeling stuck, conflicted, or worn down — by your relationship, by your body, by ADHD, or by a life transition that has left you unsure of what comes next. Counselling can give you a place to slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and work toward change in a way that actually fits your life.

In our work together, you can expect a collaborative, practical, and respectful approach. Sessions focus on helping you understand patterns that keep repeating, building skills you can use outside of therapy, and creating movement where things feel stalled or overwhelming.

I work with individuals and couples through online and phone counselling across British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. Many clients seek support for:

  • Pain during sex or difficulty with arousal, desire, or pleasure
  • Desire discrepancies or sexual disconnection in relationships
  • ADHD-related challenges affecting emotions, relationships, work, or daily functioning
  • Strengthening connection and intimacy for couples navigating low-conflict challenges
  • Relationship uncertainty, separation, or divorce
  • Stress, burnout, and major life transitions
  • Communication, boundaries, and conflict

If ADHD is part of your life (diagnosed or not), therapy is adapted accordingly. Sessions are structured, validating, and focused on helping you work with your brain rather than against it. Together, we focus on practical strategies for emotional regulation, follow-through, communication, and self-trust, while also recognizing strengths that are often overlooked.

For couples, the work is supportive and goal-focused. Sessions are well suited to partners who care about one another but feel stuck around communication, conflict, intimacy, or recurring patterns. The focus is on strengthening understanding, reducing friction, and building skills that support a healthy, lasting relationship — including when ADHD is part of the picture.

As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist with over 250 hours of sex therapy training, I offer a space where conversations about sex are straightforward, informed, and free from pressure or judgment. Therapy may focus on pain during sex, desire differences, changes during menopause or perimenopause, post-abortion sexual or relational shifts, or building sexual equity and communication in relationships. The work is practical and paced — evidence-based, sex-positive, guided by your goals, and focused on sustainable change.

Counselling is not about being told what to do or “fixing” yourself. It’s about gaining clarity, developing skills, and making decisions from a grounded place, whether that means strengthening a relationship, adjusting expectations, or moving forward in a new direction.

What Counselling With Me Is Like

You can expect counselling to be collaborative, paced to your needs, and aimed at helping you develop tools that make a real difference in your life and relationships. Many clients arrive feeling stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed. In our sessions, you’ll have a space to make sense of what’s happening, identify patterns that are holding you back, and try strategies that create real change in your life and relationships. The focus is on clarity, skill-building, and moving forward in a way that fits your life.

Sessions are active and structured while remaining flexible. You’ll practice communication, coping, and emotional regulation skills, and leave each session with tangible tools you can use outside of therapy.

Support for ADHD

If ADHD is part of your life or your relationship, therapy is tailored to your experience. You’ll gain understanding of how ADHD affects your emotions, work, relationships, and self-esteem, while building strategies that support follow-through, organization, and emotional regulation.

Areas of focus may include:

  • Managing overwhelm and emotional intensity
  • Rejection sensitivity and self-criticism
  • Improving follow-through and executive functioning
  • Navigating ADHD-related challenges in relationships
  • Strengthening communication and reducing recurring conflict

Through this work, my clients often report feeling more confident in themselves, less frustrated, and better able to make decisions that support their goals and relationships.

Relationship Counselling & Relationship Crossroads

This work is designed for low-conflict couples who care deeply about one another but feel stuck around recurring challenges. Many clients come wanting to improve connection, communication, or intimacy, or to make sense of uncertainty about staying together. With my guidance, couples often notice patterns they hadn’t seen before, communicate more clearly, and regain a sense of closeness.

Sessions help couples:

  • Understand patterns in your relationship and how they show up in daily life
  • Communicate more clearly and feel heard
  • Build practical skills that strengthen connection and reduce friction
  • Explore uncertainty thoughtfully, so you can make decisions from a place of clarity rather than confusion or stress

I specialize in supporting couples who are seeking guidance to navigate sticking points, understand each other’s perspectives, and strengthen their connection. My experience with ADHD, relational patterns, sex and intimacy, and low-conflict couples allows me to provide focused, actionable strategies that create lasting change.

Sex Therapy

Sex therapy provides a practical, evidence-based, sex-positive space to address sexual concerns with clarity, skill, and care. Many women come seeking support for pain, desire, arousal, or pleasure difficulties, and/or for support through perimenopause, and I bring extensive experience helping individual women understand and manage these challenges.

For couples, I help partners navigate differences in desire, arousal, or sexual satisfaction, address imbalances in sexual pleasure or connection, and work through changes related to perimenopause, menopause, or post-abortion experiences. Sessions focus on understanding the root of the challenge, implementing tangible techniques and approaches, improving communication, and rebuilding intimacy, so both partners feel understood, connected, and empowered to enjoy a more satisfying sexual relationship.

Areas of focus include:

  • Pain during sex, including dyspareunia, vulvodynia, and vaginismus
  • Desire, arousal, or pleasure difficulties
  • Desire discrepancies between partners
  • Sexual changes related to perimenopause and menopause
  • Post-abortion or post-termination sexual and relationship concerns
  • Sexual communication and pleasure equity

Sex therapy sessions are guided by your goals, paced to your comfort, and structured to offer practical strategies and meaningful change for both individual clients and couples.

Therapeutic Approach

I draw from several counselling approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and the Gottman Method for couples counselling. My approach is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and inclusive of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures. Therapy is actionable, collaborative, and tailored to your specific goals and needs.
