Practice Information
I’m Kenton Klassen, a Registered Clinical Counsellor and psychodynamic psychotherapist based in Vancouver, BC. My work is relational, exploratory, and non‑directive, offering clients a space to slow down and look closely at the deeper emotional patterns shaping their inner life.
People come to therapy for many reasons — persistent anxiety, depression, difficulties in relationships, the impact of trauma, recurring patterns that feel hard to change, or a sense of uncertainty about where they’re headed. I support clients in exploring these experiences with care and curiosity, attending to the unconscious dynamics that influence how we feel and relate.
My practice is grounded in the understanding that we develop in relationship, are wounded in relationship, and heal in relationship. Psychodynamic psychotherapy provides a way of working beneath the surface, engaging with the deeper layers of experience that often remain outside of awareness. This approach supports lasting psychological change and a more coherent, compassionate relationship with oneself.
Depth‑oriented therapy can be difficult to find in a culture focused on quick solutions and standardized treatments. I offer a steady, thoughtful space where your story is taken seriously and where the work unfolds at a pace that feels attuned and sustainable.
I provide in‑person sessions Mon–Wed in South Granville and Thursdays in Railtown, with online therapy available throughout BC. If you would like to explore whether this approach feels right for you, I offer a free 20‑minute consultation.
