Practice Information

You've done the talking. You've shown up, told your story, and tried to make sense of it all. And something still feels stuck. That makes complete sense. Trauma doesn't live in the part of us that uses words. It lives in the body, in old patterns, in the parts of us that learned to protect us a long time ago. Sometimes healing asks us to go to those quieter, deeper places too.

Hi, I'm Katrina, an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, Registered Clinical Counsellor, and Registered Social Worker offering online therapy to adults and parents across BC and Alberta. I specialize in trauma, attachment, and the kind of patterns that feel impossible to change no matter how much insight you already have.

I use EMDR and body-based approaches to help you process what's been stuck and put the past back where it belongs. I also work with parts: the anxious part, the people-pleasing parts, and the reactive part that shows up before you even have a chance to think. These parts didn't develop to make your life harder. They developed to protect you. Through inner child healing and parts work, we help them find new roles so you can feel more whole and less at war with yourself.

For parents, this work often goes even deeper. Parenting has a way of bringing up our own unfinished business in ways we don't always expect. Old patterns resurface. Reactions feel bigger than the moment. And let's be honest: most parents love their children deeply and also find them really hard to be around sometimes. That's not a character flaw. That's parenting. The guilt and fear of "messing them up" is something I hear from almost every parent I work with. Through Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) and responsive parenting approaches, I offer both deeper healing work and practical strategies you can use at home. Because breaking old cycles, even imperfectly, is one of the most meaningful things a parent can do.

I've been doing this work for over 7 years across Nunavut, BC and Alberta, in child welfare, community mental health, and private practice. I'm trained in EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, DBT, Theraplay, and Circle of Security Parenting (COSP). I work entirely online, which means you can access meaningful, deep therapy from wherever you are most comfortable.

My approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed. I believe healing happens in relationship, and that safety is something we build together over time. I'm real, not formal or distant. I can sit with you in the really hard stuff and I can also share moments of lightness and laughter. Both have a place in good therapy.

I fundamentally believe you have the innate wisdom and capacity to heal. You're not broken. You're human, and you deserve support as you reconnect with yourself.

Sessions are $180. Free consultations are available. Let's have a relaxed conversation to see if we're a good fit.
