As a registered psychologist, I have helped hundreds of people over the past 25 years heal emotional wounds and recover peace of mind. If you're finding that your daily mood and quality of life are being diminished by mental or physical symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, work stress or relationship challenges, please give yourself the gift of a free phone consultation. My expertise includes an approach to healing and health based on the clinical science of positive psychology.
I bring to my psychotherapy private practice extensive clinical experience across a range of settings, including: community mental health clinics, Veterans medical center, college counseling center, as well as fifteen years working as a senior staff psychologist at the Department of Psychiatry for Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. My collaboration with clients and community has also taken the form of facilitating groups for patients with cancer, teaching psycho-educational classes, supervising resident psychologists, and training health professionals.
My education and professional development was secured in the United States: BA from Princeton University, and a Masters and Ph.D. in psychology from the Clinical Science Program at the University of California, Berkeley. My work with clients takes place within a therapeutic alliance that is supportive, compassionate and quite active. I respectfully offer gentle guidance, knowing that clients come in ready to make positive change happen in their lives.
Fees are to be paid directly to the clinician at time of service, but itemized receipts can be provided upon request, should you seek reimbursement from private insurance. A limited number of sliding-fee spots may be available; please inquire.
