Looking for a soft place to land explore the shape of your life, your relationships, and your place in the world? Wanting to understand yourself more deeply, let go of patterns that no longer serve you, identify and communicate your needs, hopes and desires, and move towards a more authentic version of you?
My hope is to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore the parts of your experience that have been too hard to hold alone. I promise to show up with a fierce gentleness, and a compass to guide our work in directions that bring you closer to your core self, to how you want to be in the world, to your voice and agency. I work primarily with the tender, heart-led modality, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), which is an experiential (meaning, we work in the present moment with what arises), attachment-based, trauma-focused therapy that says transformation happens when we feel safe to feel our emotions. I bring in other approaches that honour the ways you share about your life (narrative), turn towards your experiences with mindfulness and act in values-aligned ways (ACT) and understand your embodied experience (somatics). I'm a queer and non-binary therapist, and am deeply honoured to support members of my community. I practice from an anti-oppressive and liberatory approach, recognizing the harms of systemic oppression, and honouring the various forms of resistance, refusal, and protection long used living under systems of injustice.
I am honoured to radically support folks with the following:
Holding Anxiety in an Uncertain World
Burnout - From Work, Caregiving, and Living under capitalism, abelism and other oppressive systems
Sexuality and Gender Identity Exploration
2SLGBTQ+ Affirmative Care
Experiences of Gender-based and Sexualized violence
I offer virtual sessions to anyone in B.C. and can offer in-person appointments to anyone residing in or around Victoria, BC. I also offer a free 15-minute consultation to get to know one another. If what I'm offering feels resonant, I welcome you to reach out. Here when you're ready.
