John Parker has a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.
John offers support to individual adults, couples, and youth experiencing difficulties in their personal, work/school or family relationships. John's approach to therapy is client-centered and collaborative. He focuses on supporting individuals in finding clarity and hope in meeting their current challenges by building on their inherent strengths.
John uses an integrative holistic approach that pulls from Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Systemic and Experiential models. He has worked with individuals who have struggled with the effects of abuse, addictions, trauma and cognitive challenges.
He is dedicated to helping others find resolution and to move forward positively in their lives in meaningful and measurable ways.
John is the Coordinator of the Ladysmith Resources Centre Volunteer Counselling Program and has supervised Master's students in their counselling psychology practicums.
