These days, many people are keen to engage in a whole self counselling approach that attends to the mind, the body, and the spirit as they naturally emerge in session. I practice and expand on this whole self approach. It is heartening to see how wellness, healing, awareness, presence, development and happiness are rooted in the whole self, and are nourished by the wonderful whole self.
But taking the whole self into account, clients can move ahead much more quickly. They can take strides on a stronger foundation.
Counselling gives you valuable opportunities to talk, to explore hidden parts of yourself, and to make eye-opening discoveries about yourself and the others you interact with on a daily basis.
My practice draws from a variety of counselling, coaching and therapeutic techniques based on my extensive trainings in solutions-focused therapy, solutions-focused brief therapy, Gestalt therapy, emotion-focused therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and Ericksonian coaching and solutions-focused counselling strategies.
