Hi, I’m Heather and I bring many years of experience with me as both a counsellor and clinical supervisor for other mental health professionals. I work with people to help figure out what is at the root of their distress, and tackle any rising issues head-on, drawing on a variety of therapies. I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC, and absolutely love my job. I provide both individual and relationship therapy, as well as virtual counselling options for busy clients.
Over the years, I have worked with children, adolescents, families, adults, as well as with men in the criminal justice system as a supervisor of a mental health team. I am an expert in treating people with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and supporting people during difficult life transitions.
I would describe myself as an “active” therapist meaning not only will I be using therapeutic skills, but I will be teaching you, challenging you, validating your experiences, asking questions, and suggesting ideas within a safe space. I encourage you to come to session with questions, ideas, and opinions. Reach out to me anytime or book directly online.
