Practice Information
Hi, I'm Frazer, a warm and collaborative counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals through life's challenges. I use an integrated approach to individual therapy, and specialize in helping in domains of anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, and am here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard and supported.
In our sessions, we'll work collaboratively to explore what's on your mind, process your feelings, and co-create a meaningful path forward. I believe that a trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of lasting healing. I aim to help you to understand your thoughts and emotions, and to also build practical tools that empower you towards change. My philosophy to counselling is threefold:
- You deserve to be heard: Your reality and experiences are central to our work. Truly listened to - with patience, curiosity, and full presence.
- Change happens together: Therapy isn't something done to you - it's relational and collaborative. You steer the ship, I share tools to help navigate effectively.
- Growth, not perfection: The goal isn't to eliminate experience. Instead, I prioritize what works for you. Change processes are flexible and non-linear, and that's completely okay.
I believe everyone's story and needs are different, and I match evidence-based approaches to support your specific needs. Let's work together to make a meaningful change in this journey of self-discovery and personal growth. I'd be honoured to support you along the way.
As I believe in the importance of fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation by phone. A phone consultation is a chance to get to know each other, see what brings you to therapy, and give you a chance to see if we're a fit. In our consultation, we discuss your hopes and goals for therapy, and I provide a summary of how services may look like for you should you choose to proceed with starting counselling together.
I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors, and hold a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University. As part of my professional training, I completed a 600-hour supervised practicum at the University of British Columbia's Counselling Services, and I have specialized post-graduate training in several evidence-based therapies.
My professional background includes over seven years of experience as a community-mental health professional working with adolescents, young adults, parents, and families. It brings me great joy to support and witness positive changes as they unfold in others' lives, and my goal is to support people with effective, efficient, and research-backed methods to achieve their goals in therapy and beyond.
