Practice Information
Hi, I'm Dani Sablinskas (she/her) a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Adlerian psychotherapist who works with men, women, and non‑binary individuals! I specialize with
- ADHD,
- Grief & Loss,
- Insomnia & Sleep Disturbances, and
- Plus‑Size Identity & Body‑Based Stigma.
With over 10 years of experience in healthcare, I have supported individuals through grief, belonging, and major life transitions. My goal is simple: “To help people feel understood, supported, and strong enough to build a life that feels like their own.”
I am a strong fit for clients navigating emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and longstanding patterns that affect self‑worth and connection. I provide a space where you don’t need to minimize, mask, or hold everything together.
I work with the following concerns:
Grief & Loss - I understand grief intimately from the loss of my own mother at 19, a pivotal age, giving me a deep appreciation for how grief reshapes identity and belonging. I approach my work with grief from shared experience. I understand the messiness that accompanies grieving, and we can work through all of that together.
Grief involves a lot of things beyond death, some other concerns I work with include:
- Pet loss
- Job loss
- Breakups
- Tough diagnoses
- Death of a loved one
- Loss of identity or direction
- Delayed or anniversary grief
Grief has no timeline and no rules, and I help clients find steadiness, meaning, and connection again.
ADHD - As a fellow therapist who received late diagnosis of ADHD, I can understand the frustration of living in a world where it feels that systems were never designed for you. My work focuses on :
- Coping tools
- Emotional regulation
- ADHD in relationships
- Psychoeducation on ADHD
- Executive functioning coaching
-
Supporting loved one with ADHD

- body shame
- family criticism

- social anxiety
- identity struggles
- intimacy challenges
- systemic pressures, or
- fear of public judgment.
I also support clients exploring weight‑loss medications (GLP‑1s, Ozempic, Wegovy), navigating others’ reactions to weight changes, or preparing for and recovering from gastric bypass surgery. My belief is that “Your body is not a problem to be fixed but a powerful, resilient part of who you are.”
Insomnia & Sleep Disturbances - I support clients experiencing chronic sleep challenges related to anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, or life transitions:
- Insomnia
- Nighttime anxiety
- Fear of sleeping alone
- Waking “wired but tired”
- ADHD‑related sleep patterns
-
Trauma‑related sleep disruption
My desire to help you feel the fullest version of yourself, and to introduce more play and understanding in your life. Ultimately, I figure out what your goal is and how can we achieve that and celebrate along the way.
Reach out to get started! Taking the first step can feel scary. I'm here to support you on your journey toward meaningful and lasting change.
