About my approach
You may have a sense that something feels off - that you’re not living or feeling in the way you want to be. It may have been given a label, such as anxiety or depression, yet you may still feel unsure about how to move forward. Rather than relying primarily on the logical, rational mind for answers, I support an exploration of the unconscious to access deeper understanding and more sustainable change. Instead of viewing symptoms or recurring patterns as failures or signs that something is “wrong” with you and needs fixing, I see them as doorways into unmet needs, unspoken stories, and parts of you that are trying to communicate something very important to you. The “problem” itself carries meaning and intelligence within it.
I welcome this intelligence to reveal itself in our work through somatic exploration - bringing the body into dialogue - as well as through the expressive arts (such as drawing, movement, sound, writing, and other creative forms) and parts-based work. Together, we connect with your inner world and your lived, felt experience, bringing it into conscious awareness so it no longer operates quietly behind the scenes or directs your life from the shadows.
My approach is informed by lived experience with trauma, loss, and profound life transitions. I am deeply familiar with the landscape of pain, grief, and soul-level wounding. Through my own healing journey, I have come to know the ways these experiences can shape a person’s inner world and sense of hope. Working with the expressive arts, the body, and parts-based approaches has been central to this healing and is not at the core of my therapeutic work.
I can also accompany you through vulnerable and painful experiences with presence, steadiness, and compassion. I strive to create a therapeutic space where parts of you that may have been overlooked, misunderstood, hidden, or judged are met with openness and respect. These aspects of ourselves often carry deep strength, aliveness, and wisdom about our deepest needs and values.
If you feel drawn to this way of working, I invite you to reach out for a complimentary 15-minute consultation.
