Practice Information
Hi! I’m Diana (she/her) and I am a Latina counsellor passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. I work from a trauma-informed, intersectional, anti-oppressive, and neurodiversity-affirming perspective, and I believe that therapy can be a powerful space for healing, clarity, and growth. I specialize in working with BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) as well as culturally diverse and neurodivergent individuals who are processing trauma, navigating identity, and moving through life transitions.
I support individuals, couples and families who are coping with:
- Trauma and complex trauma
- Anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm
- Life transitions, identity shifts, and burnout
- Cultural identity, migration experiences, and intergenerational expectations
- Neurodivergence and navigating a world that may not always accommodate different ways of thinking, feeling, and experiencing
Many of my clients come from diverse cultural backgrounds and are navigating the pressures of being everything to everyone—often while putting their own needs last. I aim to create a warm, transparent, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences freely, without needing to explain or justify them.
My approach is relational and collaborative. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is key to meaningful change. If you don’t feel safe and seen, it’s hard to do the deeper work. That’s why I focus on building a connection based on trust, compassion, and curiosity.
I offer both short-term, solution-focused therapy and longer-term, exploratory work—depending on what you’re looking for. Whether you're in crisis or simply feeling disconnected, I’ll meet you where you are. My work is integrative and holistic, drawing from a variety of evidence-based approaches. I tailor each session to your unique needs and values, and always hold space for your cultural and personal context.
It’s an honor to be invited into people’s lives, and I welcome you to reach out for a free 20-minute phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
I offer services in English, Spanish, and French. Meetings are online through a secure video platform or in-person in Coquitlam through Unitive Clinic.
I am registered with CAP, FNHA and CVAP and offer sliding scale services.
