Practice Information

I am a queer and trans RCC providing virtual therapy across BC. I specialize in gender-affirming care, hormone readiness assessments in BC, and identity exploration.

Whatever brings you to counselling, I am here to support you.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #22791) registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and I hold a Master’s in Counselling from Adler University. I am queer and trans, and much of my practice is with queer and trans clients, though you do not have to be!

How I work

My approach is Person Centred. In practice that means I strive to be fully genuine with you, to care unconditionally, and to bring warmth and empathy into every session. You are the authority on your own life. Our work is led by your goals, with as much or as little structure from me as you would like.

I also draw on somatic work, paying attention to breath, tension, and what your nervous system is doing alongside what is being said. When words start to feel like the wrong tool, creative and expressive approaches are available too, using images, movement, sound, or writing. No artistic experience is needed, and this is always optional.

Whatever we use, we go at your pace. I check in often about what is helping, and you can slow down, change direction, or stop at any point.

Sometimes meeting a new counsellor can be nerve-wracking. I’m here to offer nonjudgemental compassion and care for whatever is going on for you.

When you book a free 15 minute consult, we can talk about what brings you to counselling and you can bring up any topic that you’d like support around. You can also ask me any questions! There’s no pressure to book afterward.

What I work with

Many of the people I see come for gender-affirming counselling: gender identity and exploration, transition support, dysphoria, and the specific administrative and emotional weight of waitlists, letters, family, work, and dating. I also offer hormone readiness assessments.

Others come for trauma, PTSD, and complex trauma; depression; anxiety, panic attacks, and social anxiety; substance use; BPD; bipolar; sexual concerns; or LGBTQ+ counselling more broadly.

And some come for something that has nothing to do with gender or sexuality at all, and simply want a counsellor they will not have to explain it to. ANY topic is welcome. You can bring something specific, or you can start with the sense that something is off and we will work it out from there. You do not need a diagnosis or a referral to begin.

What I bring into the room

My work is grounded in an anti-oppressive and decolonial lens. Healing does not happen in isolation. We are shaped by our communities, our cultures, and the systems we live in, including the ongoing impacts of colonization, systemic oppression, and intergenerational trauma. When what you are carrying is coming from outside you, whether that is a workplace, a family, or a healthcare system, I help to name the context rather than treating it as a problem arising within you.
