About Ceilidh
As a queer ADHDer, I bring warm, gentle energy and a curious, down‑to‑earth approach to therapy. I love working with people navigating complicated and heavy situations, along with queer, non‑binary, and Two‑Spirit individuals who appreciate direct, authentic support. Life with my wife, a British first responder, also gives me an appreciation for how sarcasm and dark humour can at times help us through hard moments.
I’m mindful of how systemic oppression shows up in the counselling room and how forces like racism, colonialism, ableism, homophobia, and transphobia shape our lives and coping. Therapy doesn’t happen in isolation, and I hold space for both personal and systemic layers of experience.
With over 14 years in social work, I blend EMDR, somatic, attachment‑focused, humanistic, and narrative practices. When working with children and youth I also incorporate play and art based therapies. In our work together, we dip in and out of difficult stories, pausing to ground, regulate, and reconnect with your body so that you can build capacity for the hard things you’re carrying. This pacing helps you stay present without becoming overwhelmed, and supports healing that feels steady and sustainable.
I work with individual children, youth, and adults.
