Practice Information
Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I’m Alejandra Zibes (she/her), a bilingual (Spanish/English) Registered Clinical Counsellor with 20 years of experience supporting people through a wide range of life experiences. I’m also an instructor at Adler University, a certified EMDR therapist, and a Certified Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Practitioner.
My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and collaborative, grounded in an anti-oppressive and culturally responsive lens. I pay close attention to how systemic and intergenerational experiences shape wellbeing, and I aim to create a space where all parts of your identity, lived experience, and strengths are welcomed. I’m also a cisgender, able-bodied, uninvited settler on the traditional, unceded territory of the Katzie First Nation, and I make a conscious effort to stay mindful of the privilege of being invited into people’s lives and hearing their stories of strength, resistance, and courage.
I work with adults navigating stress, anxiety, mood changes, life transitions, relationship challenges, fertility-related experiences, and trauma—including those connected to immigration and settlement. I aim to offer care that’s grounded in each person’s unique cultural, relational, and life context.
I’m also a mom to two teenagers who keep life interesting (and meaningful!). They’ve been some of my greatest teachers, constantly adding perspective and depth to how I see the world.
For me, healing is about reconnecting—with yourself, your relationships, your environment, and Mother Earth. At the core of my work is a therapeutic relationship built on trust, safety, and respect, where you can reflect, explore, and grow at your own pace.
