As a counsellor in the Vancouver and New Westminster areas since 1993, my practice has included working with individuals and groups (in person and online) who are managing a wide variety of challenges that have included:

I work from the perspective that difficult life experiences, recurring life patterns and core beliefs will often interfere with our ability to achieve our full potential and reach personal goals.
I approach therapy from a holistic perspective that considers mind-body interactions and the resulting information that these hold about our emotions, beliefs and spiritual expression. My personal and professional interests and beliefs have guided me towards building my knowledge and experience through the use of approaches that facilitate cognitive, emotional, physical and spiritual integration: EMDR Therapy, Natural/Somatic Processing, mindfulness based approaches, and Energy Psychology. I have found these approaches to be particularly effective in working through concerns including those mentioned above.
My hope is to be able to provide a supportive space that would allow me to get to know you, the life concerns you are facing and the goals that you have for therapy. While also focusing on assisting you to recognize and build your strengths and resiliency, we could, for example, identify and work through issues/concerns that feel overwhelming and/or keep you feeling "stuck". We could explore those that create problems in your relationships and communications with others and those that lead to poor life choices. In doing so, therapeutic results could include (but are not limited to):
increased ability to manage stress and anxiety
increased confidence
more effective decision-making
improved communication and relationships with others
improved physical health
increase personal fulfillment and pleasure
a greater sense of purpose and meaning
