Dr. Ana Mozol is the founder and director of Dreamwork Theatre, a space where individuals can reflect on, reclaim and remember aspects of their lives and inner world through depth analysis, dreamwork, online courses, workshops and body-centred psychotherapy. Dr. Mozol brings 20 years of experience working, writing and practicing in the fields of Jungian psychology, archetypal psychology, clinical psychology, psychoanalysis, trauma, women’s depth psychology, dreamwork, theatre and the creative arts.
Dr. Ana Mozol was a core faculty member at the Adler University for over 12 years. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at Pacifica Graduate Institute and the Adler University. The numerous courses she designed and taught focused on Jungian, psychoanalytic and archetypal depth psychology, mythology, trauma, women’s individuation, sexuality, shamanism, creativity and dreamwork. Dr. Mozol has studied with and been mentored by such distinguished elders in the field as James Hillman, Christine Downing, Jeff Raff, Gina Ogden and Marion Woodman.
Dr. Mozol has an MA in Counselling Psychology and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from North America’s foremost institute for the study of depth psychology, Pacifica Graduate Institute. She has a private practice in Vancouver, Canada, where she specializes in body-oriented depth analysis, dreamwork and the intersection of depth psychology and the creative arts. She is a graduate of a two-year full-time acting program based on Stanislavski’s method and has acted in several professional theatre shows.
In her 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Ana Mozol has come to practice a unique blend of techniques and theories based on her extensive experience of Jungian psychology, archetypal psychology, clinical psychology, psychoanalysis, mythology, trauma, women’s depth psychology, dreamwork, theatre and the creative arts.
In contemporary culture, where everything moves at such a frantic pace, the world of soul and the inner lives of individuals often suffer. Depth analysis is a place of reflecting, remembering and reclaiming the parts of the psyche that were forced into the unconscious through the process of socialization (first in the family system and then in the larger culture). Depth analysis helps individuals and couples break free of destructive, repetitive behaviours and relational dynamics that are obstacles to a greater sense of flow and meaning in life, through reflective analysis, counselling, dreamwork, body-oriented psychotherapy and creative expression. This work is wonderful for deepening the creative process in artists. It can also be helpful in reducing and understanding symptoms related to depression, anxiety, trauma, loss and grief, difficult relationship dynamics, sexuality, and life transitions.
Dr. Mozol has extensive training and experience in working with trauma and focused her doctoral research on the connection between ancient goddess mythology, women's contemporary dreams, and sexual trauma. In her practice she helps both men and women free themselves from the negative side of patriarchal bonds and embrace a more authentic sense of self.
