camasmentalhealth.caPractice information:
Welcome, I'm Adrienne, owner of Camas Mental Health. Camas offers therapy services with a specialization in supporting reproductive mental health and wellbeing across the lifespan through individual, couples, and group counselling. Groups are offered on a sliding scale basis. I am a Registered Social Worker and Registered Clinical Counsellor. I am an experienced mental health professional with diverse practice experience in both community settings and healthcare. I have spent my career dedicated to supporting clients' reproductive and sexual health and wellbeing. In my career I have worked with youth, women, moms/parents, the 2SLGBTQ community, BIPOC, and many diverse communities while working in the Metro Vancouver area for 10+ years.
I bring a biopsychosocial-spiritual lens to my practice and get curious about the individual strengths, experiences and needs of each client I meet. I bring a compassionate presence to my work with clients and a strong spirit of collaboration and creativity to the therapeutic work. I strive to create an environment in which clients can be real, explore their needs, set goals, and plant the seeds for healing and growth.
My counselling approach is informed by an intersectional and feminist person-centered framework, trauma-Informed practice, anti-oppressive theory and practice, and a strong orientation to social justice. It is my priority to offer a queer affirming, inclusive, and culturally sensitive practice.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation to discuss what support you are looking for and answer any questions you have. It can be hard to take the first step in seeking support, especially if you've never seen a counselling professional before. Adrienne will be more than happy to walk you through the counselling process, what to expect, and how to get the most out of counselling.
