SOMATIC BODY BASED THERAPY & PARTS WORK: Hi, I'm Amy. Imagine living without the constant undercurrent of stress, anxiety and pain. Counselling can help you gently release what’s been keeping you stuck and feel more at home in your body, confident to move through whatever life throws your way.

Are you feeling overwhelmed and exhausted? Do you experience triggering looping thoughts of fear, worry, guilt, shame or anxiety? Are you navigating grief and loss or a major life transition, causing feelings of depression or hopelessness? Do you feel a lack of purpose or meaning in your career or relationships? Do you worry about finances? Regardless of what you are going through, you don’t need to face it alone.

Do you want to feel more safety, trust, confidence, meaning and purpose in life? Do you want to do less people pleasing and more living for yourself? Are you seeking greater ease, peace of mind, and joy in your life, even as you navigate difficult challenges?

Firstly, I want you to know you’re doing great. Being human is hard. If you relate to any of this, I’d be honoured to help guide you. I believe everyone is resilient, but if you could do it all on your own, you wouldn’t be seeking counselling. I’m here to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom and see things from new perspectives.

Body-based somatic practices for real relief from anxiety and overwhelm.

Our minds often try to make sense of what we are feeling, but our bodies do not always feel safe or settled in response. Together in counselling, we will consider both cognitive awareness and reflection, as well as helping your body return to a state of regulation and ease. This approach is grounded and focused on helping you reconnect to your inner resilience.

I help you find effective, practical ways to reduce overwhelm, anxiety, and looping thoughts to find relief in the moment. Rather than simply talking about what’s happening, we explore how it’s showing up in your body and process it at a deeper level.

Body-based therapy can be more effective than talk therapy alone for addressing stress or trauma because the body and nervous system respond to threat before the thinking mind does. This means talking about what happened doesn’t always reach the places where the stress response is stored. Somatic work helps the body complete unfinished responses, releasing energy that keeps the system stuck in survival mode, so healing can happen at the level where it originally began: the body.
