Adrienne Johnson is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She sees clients in her office in White Rock.
Adrienne believes that everyone at some point gets stuck in patterns that no longer serve them in their present life and which work against their sense of wellbeing. She also believes that counselling is about providing a skilled guide, and a safe place, to support the client while they explore and address these patterns in ways that help create lasting and positive change.
Adrienne approaches counselling with warmth and open-mindedness. She believes that each person is the expert in their own life, and that her job as a counsellor is to facilitate the client’s exploration of their own unique skills and strengths, and help them create positive change. Adrienne uses a holistic approach in her counselling, tailoring her work to each client’s individual needs. Adrienne works with a variety of theoretical approaches and techniques to further shape her support of the client.
Adrienne has worked for nearly a decade in a variety of helping roles, including as a seniors’ counsellor, family counsellor, domestic violence support worker, spiritual director, and hospital chaplain trainee, working with both individuals and couples. Adrienne received her MA in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia, and her Master of Divinity from the Vancouver School of Theology. She brings this diverse background and experience to her current work helping clients make positive changes in their lives.
Adrienne is available for a free 20 minute telephone consultation to help you see if her counselling services might be a good fit for you.
