Practice Information
- Life can feel heavy, even when everything looks "fine" on the outside. You might be navigating complicated relationships with family or loved ones, feeling misunderstood by the people closest to you, or carrying stress that doesn’t seem to go away. It can feel confusing at times, like you should be okay, but something just isn’t sitting right inside. You may find yourself overthinking, reacting in ways you don’t fully understand, or feeling stuck in patterns you can’t seem to change. You wish things could be different, but you're not sure where to start or how to make a change.
- I understand how exhausting it can be to carry an invisible burden inside. Often, burdens from the past can keep us from living life more fully in the present. Not because anything is “wrong” with you, but because your mind and body are still trying to make sense of what happened. My hope for you as a client is to help you feel lighter, more grounded, and more like yourself again. I use a combination of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Self-Compassion, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Together, these approaches don’t just help you understand your experiences, they help you actually shift them. My clients often notice an immediate shift and a deep sense of relief after processing a triggering experience through EMDR. What once felt overwhelming begins to feel resolved, their body relaxes, and their mind becomes quieter, often for the first time in a long time. This can often happen without needing to revisit the trigger in detail, which means that you're always in control of how much you share, while still experiencing meaningful change. An expected outcome of EMDR is feeling lighter and more at ease, where things that used to trigger you no longer hit the same. Your mind feels quieter, and you can move through your life without being pulled back into the past.
- My approach to therapy is best suited for adults (19+) navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, loss, life transitions, stress, burnout, spirituality, work, loneliness, and relationship or communication challenges.
- If you’re feeling ready for something to shift, I would love to connect. One of the most meaningful parts of my work is walking alongside clients through life’s most difficult moments, and witnessing them reconnect with their strength, clarity, and sense of self. I believe you are not broken, you already have what you need within you. Therapy can simply help you access it.
- I offer virtual sessions across British Columbia, as well as in-person sessions in North Burnaby and Fort Langley. Feel free to reach out by email to find a location that works best for you.
