I am Valessa Rizzotto, a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Vancouver. I bring over 20 years of experience as a psychologist in Brazil, along with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology in Canada. My work is grounded in a culturally sensitive and relational approach, shaped by both professional training and life experience, including my own immigration journey. I offer a warm, supportive, and non judgmental space where you can slow down, explore your experiences, and better understand your emotional and relational patterns.
I support adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, self esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, and life transitions, including grief and loss. I also work with concerns related to identity, perfectionism, and work life balance.
My approach is integrative and insight-oriented, drawing from evidence-based therapies such as attachment-based work, psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, DBT, EFT, and mindfulness, always tailored to your unique needs.
