Paula Jurczak is a Registered Clinical Counselor, Registered Social Worker, DIR Clinician and Expert Training Leader, and Self‑Regulation Consultant with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families with complex needs. Her practice is grounded in DIR Floortime and Self‑Regulation approaches, offering compassionate support for attachment challenges, emotional and behavioral regulation, neurodivergent experiences, sensory differences, giftedness, learning needs, and specialized medical conditions.
Paula’s work is strength‑based, family‑centred, and informed by current research. She creates a safe, accepting space where clients can explore feelings, build skills, and develop healthy relationships. Her approach honors each person’s unique way of experiencing the world.
Additionally, Paula provides clinical supervision to organizations and counselors seeking to enrich their own practices. As the Dean of eLearning for The Mehrit Centre, she works collaboratively to support self-regulation in schools, organizations, health and social service agencies across Canada. Paula also presents internationally and provides Psychoeducational workshops, reflective parent coaching, online support services and support groups and consultation to hospitals, mental health clinics, preschools, and schools.

DIR Floortime Therapy
An evidence‑based developmental model that helps neurodivergent children and families build strong foundations for emotional, social, and cognitive growth. Sessions follow the child’s natural interests and emotional cues, using playful, thematic interactions to support regulation, connection, communication, and higher‑level thinking.

Counseling Services
Play Therapy
A gentle, effective way for children to explore feelings, build problem‑solving skills, heal from trauma, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop confidence and social understanding.
Self‑Regulation Therapy
Support to understand stress, energy, and behavior across the five developmental domains (biological, emotional, cognitive, social, prosocial). Using the 5‑Step Self‑Reg method, clients learn to reframe challenges, reduce stress, and enhance learning, growth, and well‑being.
Family Therapy
Collaborative sessions that help families strengthen relationships, deepen understanding, and navigate change in healthy, supportive ways.
