Practice Information
As a queer ADHDer, I show up with warm, gentle energy in a supportive environment, while bringing an inquisitive and curious tone to our work together. My focus is on helping clients navigate life's challenges, whether you're facing relationship issues, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, or major life transitions.
I love working with queer individuals, non-binary folks, two spirit people, and clients who appreciate a direct and down-to-earth counselling approach. Life with my wife (a British First Responder) gives me direct experience and a trauma-informed appreciation for how important a bit of sarcasm or black humour can be in difficult times!
Together, we'll explore your personal journey, uncover your strengths, and work toward the wellness you deserve. As a trauma-informed practitioner with over a decade of experience in the field of social work, I blend somatic (body based), attachment (relationships with early caregivers), humanistic and narrative therapy practices. With a background in the arts, I love focusing on unique, individualized therapeutic approaches to customize the counselling experience for each client.
My practice provides an inclusive space for identity exploration, supporting clients through challenges related to gender identity, sexual orientation, and intersecting identities. I work with adults, young adults, seniors, families and youth (age 12+) addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, and major life changes.
