Have things been really difficult lately, and you’re wanting something to change, but you’re not quite sure how? Maybe the playfulness and ease of an intimate relationship has turned into a relentless grind of daily tasks, or a sense of aloneness even when you’re together. Maybe you’ve feeling lost and stuck within yourself and just can’t seem to get any forward momentum.
I believe that change is always possible, and counselling is an opportunity for you to have the freedom to explore who you truly are. New understandings can deepen connection and give you greater meaning and purpose. I start with where you are now, and then work with you to put a plan in place to help you move forwards. Experiences such as trauma, grief and loss, divorce/separation, relationships and life transitions are at the heart of my practice, but we will work together to define what you would like to work on. Counselling can be helpful even when there is just a persistent, niggling feeling that something is off, even if you don’t know what it is, or if you are excited for change, but don’t know what that might be. You are welcome to just bring yourself and your curiosity.
I practice from an existential-humanistic and psychodynamic framework; I see counselling as a way to connect with the deeper issues of what it means to be human. What is it that might be blocking you from finding yourself, connecting with others, finding your freedom, and creating meaning? How might you be able to become who you are?
You don’t have to navigate this alone. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space to explore your deeper patterns and bring greater understanding to what it means to be you, so that you can use this knowledge to build a more authentic and meaningful life.
