Practice Information
Hello, my name is Arshia!
I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor who is passionate about helping women, children, and families navigate life's most meaningful and challenging seasons with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care.
My path to counselling has given me a unique perspective on mental health. Over the past 10 years, I've worked as a Community Support Worker, a Psychiatric Nurse, and now as a Registered Clinical Counsellor. This diverse experience allows me to understand the emotional, psychological, and practical challenges that people face, while providing therapy that is both compassionate and grounded in clinical expertise.
I hold a Diploma and Bachelor's Degree in Psychiatric Nursing and a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology. I am also an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider and a certified Women's Mental Health Specialist, and I am committed to ongoing learning to provide the highest quality care for my clients. I have a special passion for supporting women through the many transitions of life. Whether you're struggling with infertility, pregnancy loss, reproductive trauma, adjusting to pregnancy or postpartum, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the mental load of everyday life, therapy can provide a space to process your experiences, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with greater confidence and self-compassion.
I am trained in play therapy and love working with children. Through play, children can communicate feelings that are often difficult to express with words. I partner closely with parents and caregivers to help children develop emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, and healthy coping skills while strengthening family relationships.
I also work with adolescents and adults living with ADHD. Whether you're newly diagnosed or have spent years wondering why life feels harder than it should, I help clients better understand their unique brains, build practical strategies, and move towards self-acceptance and confidence.
I believe therapy is most effective when you feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique experiences and goals. I strive to create a space where you can show up as you are, without judgment, and where healing, growth, and lasting change can happen.
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I'm honored to walk alongside my clients through that journey. Wherever you are today, you don't have to navigate it alone.
Outside of work, you’ll find me trying to learn something new, at a bookstore, exploring the newest café or ice cream shop, building LEGO sets, or out for a walk. I currently offer services in Surrey, South Surrey, and in Coquitlam, both in person and virtually, depending on your needs. I look forward to hearing from you!
