Practice information:

My name is Wendy, a registered clinical counsellor and an art therapist. I work with children aged 5 years old and above, with or without special needs, and adults to heal from traumatic experiences, to learn emotional regulation, and to simply use creative ways to experience therapeutic processes.

I’m also an approved therapist for ICBC claims, CVAP (crime victim assistance program), proudly serving FNHA (First Nations Health Authority) clients and accepting most of extended health insurance benefits. I work in Port Coquitlam, mainly serving clients in Tri-Cities, but I also offer online sessions to meet clients’ needs.

I’m a Taiwanese Canadian immigrant who speak fluent Mandarin and English. With my background in the study of Linguistics and French, I can also communicate in French. I’m a member of Canadian Art Therapy Association, BC Art Therapy Association, International Association for Creative Arts in Education and Therapy, and Taiwan Art Therapy Association.

I like to use puzzles as an analogy or a metaphor to describe our lived experiences. Sometimes it is just difficult to put a puzzle by yourself. There are things you are worried about, you are fearful to think of, or something you have not discovered yet. I am here to help you place the pieces together to understand yourself better. Although it may take some time, or it may not be perfect, you are not alone.

For the past fifteen years, I have been serving a wide range of direct or indirect contacts to hospitals, corrections, care centers, and health facilities. My work experiences in the government public service as an intake worker have helped me understand to put clients first, always pay empathic listening and respect everyone's life stories.

I was once an art therapy client. It was a life transition for me to explore and experience the power of art therapy. I want to introduce this healing method to those who are in needs of this therapeutic process.

In my services, I prioritize your needs and integrate client-centered and psychodynamic approaches in art therapy. I also use narrative therapy, Adlerian, Jungian, Satir's theories to our psychotherapeutic sessions. You are the one who control your own puzzles, but I assist you to find some pieces you have not explored yet.

我叫Wendy, 是一名註冊臨床諮詢師和藝術治療師。 我與 5 歲及以上的兒童（無論是否有特殊需要）和成年人一起工作，幫助他們從創傷經歷中治愈，學習情緒調節，並簡單地使用創造性的方式來體驗治療過程。

我也是 ICBC (卑詩省汽車意外理賠）, CVAP（犯罪受害者援助計劃）認可的治療師，更是一位自豪地為 FNHA（第一民族原住民衛生局）客戶提供服務的諮商師，我也接受大部分的延長健康保險福利. 我在高貴林港工作，主要為三聯市客戶提供服務，但我也提供在線服務以滿足個案的需求。

我是一名台灣裔加拿大移民，能說流利的普通話和英語。 憑藉我的語言學和法語學習背景，我也可以用法語進行交流。 我是加拿大藝術治療協會、卑詩省藝術治療協會、國際創意藝術教育與治療協會和台灣藝術治療協會的會員。

我在2007年畢業於西門菲莎大學 (Simon Fraser University), 取得語言學的學士學位, 著重於法語學習. 畢業的同一年, 我進入了政府單位工作. 在過去的15年, 我服務的對像很廣泛, 主要幫助醫院, 監獄所, 長期看護所, 或是任何醫護照料, 身心殘疾有關的補助申請與社會福利的配發.

在2014年, 我因為健康因素, 一個重大疾病而必須暫時離開工作崗位. 當時非常絕望與不知所措. 也因為如此, 我接觸了醫院安排的藝術治療, 透過創作來輔佐我心靈的不安, 因而達到自我療癒的過程, 重新找回生命的意義. 希望藉著本身的工作歷練和藝療的體驗, 來幫助更多在心靈慰藉上有需求的人.

我于2021年, 在諮商中心 Moving Forward Family Services 以及溫哥華藝術學院 Vancouver Art Therapy Institute 完成了700小時的直接與間接的諮商個案與團體治療之實習. 並且在2022年於 Athabasca University 取得諮商碩士學位 (MC) 以及溫哥華藝術學院的進階藝術治療文憑 (DVATI).

我希望可以透過藝術治療來認識你, 幫助你找尋一個可以修復創傷的方式, 透過諮商管道來重新連接你的身心靈, 讓藝術治療重新開啟我們的創造力, 一起探尋你的潛意識.
