I (she/her/hers) am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC, #19352) with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Victoria. My professional background includes a combined six years in the world of corporate finance and technology start-up sectors. I have seen first-hand how my diverse, and non-linear career path serves to make me a better therapist. My unique experiences have enabled me to support clients in navigating major life transitions and making values-aligned life moves for themselves, which I think is pretty cool.
I have additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, and attachment theory. I work with many couples on many issues but commonly see folks who have lost their emotional connection, are stuck in unhelpful patterns of conflict, or are trying to prepare for or cope with the immense changes that parenthood brings to their relationships.
I often see clients who are struggling with anxiety, excessive worry, panic, depression, grief, or trauma. I have the lived experience of navigating first-responder mental health and working with first responders who are coping with PTSD, or are trying to proactively manage their mental health.
I am a daughter, sister, partner, cousin, niece, aunt, and friend. I try to be as authentic in my interactions as possible, as both a therapist and human. I believe laughter is healing so I aim to share with you my sense of humour when I can. I’m an obsessive learner and especially love to absorb information through podcasts, audiobooks, and professional development courses. I learn from many places in my life: my formal education, mentors, colleagues, loved ones, and especially from my clients who are wise beyond their recognition. I hope you will learn to access this wisdom through our work together.
