I am Registered Clinical Counsellor and educator specializing in supporting individuals navigate planned and unexpected educational, career, and life transitions. Everyone approaches change with a unique set of values, beliefs, and past experiences. It is also true that each change in our life comes with a variety of thoughts, feelings, and consequences that vary from person to person. My priority as your counsellor will be to create a safe space where you can explore your options, identify your strengths, and understand the challenges ahead. My approach to counselling is relational, trauma informed, solution focused, and goal oriented. In the end I want to support you as you navigate your life… whether that is helping you figure out how to stay the course and keep going; or helping you figure out how to chart the course for the next change in your life.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in post-secondary education settings in Canada and the United States creating leadership and educational experiences for students, and helping them find their way as they explored what they wanted to achieve. I also have extensive experience managing professionals working in educational institutions and office administration, and I have expertise in mentoring and guiding new professionals in their personal development. This includes working with youth and adults of all ages, as well as facilitating student & staff development in leadership, communication, and community programming.
Together we could:
– explore the current trajectory of your life journey
– discover the path to your ideal future
– learn how to overcome challenges such as burnout and stress for you or your team
– identify strategies to develop leadership and communication skills
– create healthy and sustainable systems that support you reaching your goals
– figure out how to help you live the life you want!
The thing about transitions is that we cannot always know when one is around the corner – or even if it is already underway. If you are wondering what to do next, and would like my help figuring it out, I invite you to connect with me. I offer a complimentary introductory phone call to all new clients!
