Are you fearful, anxious, depressed, or grieving? Filled with self-doubt? Struggling with an important relationship? Going through a life transition? Do you wonder who you really are or what’s the point of life?
I am a caring, respectful counsellor who has been working with children, youth and adults across Vancouver Island since 2001. I am currently offering individual counselling that is safe, person centered and strength-based. I believe in creating a working relationship that focuses on personal empowerment, learning and growth. I believe each person has the strengths within them to create change in a meaningful way. I understand that one size doesn't fit all in terms of counselling approach. I use a combination of talk therapy and somatic (body) informed work.
My clinical areas of focus include working with trauma, PTSD, LQBTQ community, grief and loss, chronic stress, anxiety, OCD, addictions, and disordered eating. I have a trauma informed practice that focuses on the impacts of the body as well as the mind. I have completed post graduate training on working with anxiety, OCD and cultural safety as well.
You may be experiencing a current crisis, exploring life changes, or examining long standing patterns that you want to shift; I look forward to supporting you on this path.
