EMDR, Exposure, and CBT -Trauma Therapy for Car Accidents, Work Injuries, Domestic Abuse, and Childhood Trauma
Do you feel lost and isolated after a Traumatic event, or it is the past Trauma that just won't leave you? You come to the right place, I help clients get their self-power back, and restore their self-confidence. My clients leave their negative beliefs, self-beating criticisms, and cyclical behavioral patterns that are permitting them from obtaining the life they had envisioned. I together with my client create a treatment plan accordingly to the counselling needs of each client. I work together with you to ensure you get the help that you deserve.
Anxiety - Panic Attacks
Is your never system on overdrive? Is every little thing making you anxious? I help my clients find their safe place, understand their anxiety and help them learn how to cope with these symptoms. Anxiety can be brought on by environmental stressors, car accidents, work injuries, abuse, and/or any changes in the brain chemicals. CBT and mindfulness strategies can reduce the client's anxiety-induced thoughts. I guide my clients to make lifestyle changes to help to reduce their anxiety.
Depression
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy(CBT) techniques to explore the client's feelings of severe despair. In therapy, the client learns tools to overcome their barriers. I use evidence-based strategies to help the client overcome their Depression, Anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress(PTSD). We all differ in how we experience stress and trauma. I provide my clients safe and secure environment while encouraging the clients to shift negative attitudes and beliefs to accepting positive coping skills to build a better future.
Anger Management Therapy
I also provide anger management therapy for men. I work one-on-one with my client, to explore the triggers to resolve and control their anger. I provide worksheets that we work on together on a weekly basis, that create self-awareness for the client, and that allows the client to look at their behaviour objectively and begin to heal.
My Approaches
For ten years I have been using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness strategies to help clients protect their mental-well being. Then I also use Solution-Focused Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy(PCT), EMDR, Exposure therapy, and Empty Chair Techniques to help the clients resolve their trauma. I work together with my clients to move past the negativity that is slowing them down and move forward with their inner healing. Clients leave each session with reassurance that their concerns are being addressed and that they can overcome their struggles with ease.
For the past 10 years, I have helped 100 clients with their trauma, from Car Accidents, ICBC, WCB, FHNA, and CVAP clients, and other types of clients that need help. I have learned therapeutic strategies each year to move clients forward with their healing. I have been fortunate enough to work with such amazing clients that have allowed me to grow as a therapist and help them become more self-aware of their counselling needs.
