Hello. My name is Kori, and I work with individuals and couples to support them through a wide range of challenging issues and life events. I offer an engaging and reflective process for us to explore your concerns collaboratively.
In Our Time Together
We will carefully examine what is troubling you, how it is affecting you, and define what you want to be different. We will explore your current obstacles and any barriers from the past that are preventing you from finding your best path to a more satisfying life.
This process can offer a chance to gain a greater insight into your inner workings, learn how to respond to your situation more effectively, and restore a sense of control. Our time together would also be a space to process difficult emotions, to heal, and move towards where you really want to be in life.
Together, we will explore your internal and external world - to find a solution or to bring a resolution, where you feel that you and your experiences are understood and there is hope to move forward.
Education and Credentials
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I graduated from Adler University with a Masters in Counselling Psychology and have a Bachelor of Arts from University of British Columbia.
I have training in a number of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, and I utilize a combination of modalities and up-to-date research to bring relevant knowledge, tools, and perspectives into our therapy.
I offer individual therapy for a range of concerns including depression, anger, anxiety, abuse, self-esteem issues and trauma. Sometimes clients also come just with the feeling that things could be better and life can be more satisfying. Therapy can help you build effective strategies to navigate stressful life experiences and achieve emotional resilience.
I work with many couples in areas of effective communication, emotional connection, conflict resolution skills, infidelity, trust, and other marital or premarital concerns within the relationship. I also work with clients who are going through separation or divorce. We will work together to gain clarity, rework the disruptive patterns, or seek deeper change to promote healing.
I offer virtual counselling through telephone or video-call. For video calls, I use a secure platform that requires no downloaded software on your computer or mobile device. I will email you an invitation link to click. When you click on the link, it will take you directly to my virtual 'waiting room.' When I see that you have checked in, I will start the call.
