Welcome. I offer an engaging and reflective process for us to explore your concerns collaboratively. Your concerns and struggles have distinctive meanings for you, and I remain empathic, curious, and respectful of those meanings.
In Our Time Together
Our time together can be a space to look within, process difficult emotions, and create solutions to persistent and/or recurring challenges that compromise the quality of your life. This can offer a chance for a change where you understand your experiences more comprehensively, connect with those around you more authentically, and become more efficient in navigating your inner turbulence.
Together, we will explore your life deeply and objectively.
Your past may help us make better sense of your current distress and provide helpful understanding of your emotional architecture. As such, small, conscious changes in our present endeavors can help shape your future, where you can be with yourself more wholly and peacefully - and less reactively.
Life is really difficult at times. I have worked with individuals and couples from many walks of lives with the diverse struggles that life throws at us. My approach focuses on supporting my clients to grow more effective tools to respond to those stressful life events and move forward with more ease, confidence, and hope.
Education and Credentials
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I graduated from Adler University with a Masters in Counselling Psychology and have a Bachelor of Arts from University of British Columbia.
I have training in a number of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, and I utilize a combination of modalities and up-to-date research to bring relevant knowledge, tools, and perspectives into our therapy.
Individual Counselling
I work with many individuals dealing with diverse concerns including anxiety, anger, depression, self-esteem, attachment, trauma, grief, loneliness, stress management, and BPD. Individual therapy provides an opportunity to explore different facets of your experiences and share a thoughtful journey as it takes us to a renewed and deepened understanding of your story. Therapy can help you achieve emotional resilience and flexibility.
Couples Counselling
I offer couples therapy in areas of effective communication, emotional connection, conflict resolution, infidelity, anger and resentment, and other challenges within the relationship. I also work with those who are going through a separation and dissolution of a relationship. Therapy will provide a neutral space to review your relationship and choices. We will work together to gain perspectives, rework the disruptive patterns, or seek deeper change to promote healing.
