Stuck. Alone. Overwhelmed.
Those are the words clients often connect with. Perhaps you have tried everything you can think of to change things. Maybe you've tried everything your friends and family can think of too.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, meaninglessness, or something unique to you, I look forward to being with you in the healing process.
A lot of therapy is "easier said than done" and I like to add it's always "better 1% done than 100% said". Connecting what we value and how we heal to our actions leads us toward better times.
My hope for you is together we can navigate where you're at so you can savour what is present and what may happen in your life.
While I do not believe in expounding on therapeutic approaches and professional qualifications, in addition to being a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC I do have extensive training and experience. Completing a Masters in Education in Counselling Psychology from UBC, working as a mental health therapist for over 10 years with Fraser Health, and being part of a community called the Association for Contextual Behaviour Science are amongst the qualifications I can assert. I enjoy using Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and its associated approaches to creatively assist clients towards better health and more integrated living with their supports.
I use a process-based approach to therapy which means I want to honour your individual nature and bring in what techniques work best to assist the changes you are looking for.
If you are looking for someone genuine, relatable, and understanding to speak with please contact me.
